Dear Mrs. Obama's Stylist,
I am aware that your client has phenomenally toned arms, of which I am more than a little jealous. However, she has large (read enormous) hips and you need to recognize this when dressing the First Lady.
I work with a stylist that performs body shape analysis tests on women all day and the one thing you don't do is adorn a woman's "large" spots in horizontal anything...even if the article of clothing is black.

The dress seen above only makes this fit lady look rather disproportionate...as do the full skirts you keep putting her in. True, skirts tend to hide wide hips, but if not done correctly, they fall out from the widest spot making her look even wider.
Though I didn't vote for her husband and I am not a fan of hers, I don't want any woman lookin' larger than she is. Clearly, since she moved her personal trainer down from Chi-town, this woman cares about her appearance and she works extremely hard at it...so learn how to dress her figure so we can focus on the good parts and not the "less than good" parts.
Respectfully,
Yours truly
Oh yes, the Obama arms. I went to the gym and worked on my arms for a week, and kept telling my husband that I was going to have Michelle Obama arms. That week came and went, and needless to say, there are no Obama arms in this house.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteI am more interested in the perpetual look of disgust on their faces... don't get that... Didn't they realize being president would entail many, many pictures of them when they would rather not? hmmmmmm....
ReplyDeleteAlthough, i Am a fan of Obama and my vote did go to him, AND i think they are both incredible people, i have to agree... the skirt is probably not the most flattering thing she can wear. But then again, she is a lot easier on the eyes than past first ladies...
ReplyDeletei agree, and think the hemline of the skirt is wrong too...almost too "dowdy".
ReplyDeletehahaha oh yes, I agree! And I also am a little bothered by the sneers that seem to occupy their faces all of the time. So...friendly!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Her stylist needs to be fired for dressing her like that, however; there are more important things than how she looks. That being said, if she's going to represent America, she needs to dress the part.
ReplyDeleteHer stylist probably tells her she looks good in things like that skirt so he/she won't get fired.
Fashion tips never hurt regardless of who you are!
ReplyDeletehmmm...i must totally disagree. there are some people/cultures in this world that pride themselves on having curves {or "large" areas as you refer to them} and not conforming to an unrealistic {for some} version of what is healthy or desirable. regardless of your political affiliation, mrs. obama is clearly in shape. thank goodness that her daughters have a role model in their mother that is comfortable in her own skin rather than trying to conform to airbrushed models in magazines.
